. . . just another day

The last few weeks have been a bit strange, work has been incredibly busy and the time has just flown right by.  Tonight’s a bit unusual in that Sadie is away to see friends, so home alone with a spare bit of time to write on here.

So lots of things have happened since the last post, here is an outline of what has been happening for us.

The only downside to summer is that you need to spend time in the garden to make it presentable.  Of course you can make it look at nice as you like, but the fence that needs replacing distracts from that.

So today the lawn had a rake, very brief cut on the highest setting, and some seed.  The old crappy plastic greenhouse thing was taken down and put in the bin.  The path was swept, new hanging baskets and some window troughs were bought, along with 180 litres of compost.

Sadie is dealing with a local garden designer to work out what we can do with the borders for growing this years’ vegetables, so hopefully we should have some great home grown stuff to much on.

This week has been a complete twat from start to finish.

We have had: staffing issues, brand new kit fail, 3yr old kit fail, and clients with commercial issues that I can’t really write about.

Good news is that all problems are sorted, a new maintenance contract for one client, and another saying they will sign a contract once we post it down.  We’ve also secured a couple of new orders.

Oh, and I’m down another 5lbs for my weigh-in.

The small air pump for the baby cold water tank we have is a pain in the arse.  The ruddy thing vibrates against anything, even itself, and it’s annoying.

The title says it all.  9lb lost, an inch from around the waist and half inch from my moobs.
